Tom Johnson

Tom’s career is a 40-year double helix of professional practice in newsrooms and professorial practice in university classrooms. He has worked for newspapers, magazines and book publishers. He has reported from North America, Latin America, Europe and Australia. He has taught and conducted workshops on journalism – especially analytic or data journalism – in those locales as well. He is a former deputy editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a professor emeritus in journalism and a member of the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government board of directors.
