Dialogue & Diplomacy
Elevating global knowledge, ideas, and actions
Global Santa Fe provides year-round dialogues featuring world-class speakers in innovative formats. These are balanced, broad-based presentations, panels, live streams, film screenings and more on gripping global issues. Our distinguished speakers include former ambassadors, journalists, academics and activists. A crown jewel in our Dialogue & Diplomacy programs is the Under Fire series, critical gatherings on specific topics featuring an exchange of on-the-ground experiences and new perspectives ranging from journalism to democracy to climate change. Through Dialogue & Diplomacy, we expose participants to points of view that illustrate a deeper story.

The stories Faloyin shares are by turns joyful and enraging; proud and optimistic for the future even while they unequivocally confront the obstacles systematically set in place by former colonial powers. Brimming with humor and wit, filled with political insights, and, above all, infused with a deep love for the region, Africa Is Not a Country celebrates the energy and particularity of the continent’s different cultures and communities, treating Africa with the respect it deserves.
Dipo Faloyin is a senior editor at VICE, where he focuses on race, culture, and identity around the world. His writing has appeared in Dazed, Prospect, and HuffPost. Born in Chicago, raised in Lagos, he now lives in London.
