The Board of Directors of Global Santa Fe recently announced the establishment of the Judge Chuck Case Lecture on International Law. This annual lecture will recognize and honor Chuck’s distinguished service to the legal profession and to Global Santa Fe. Prior to his time in Santa Fe, Judge Case spent many years promoting the rule of law in over 25 countries, particularly those of the former Yugoslavia.
We are thrilled that Harold Koh, one of the country’s leading experts on public and private international law, national security law and human rights, will deliver the first lecture. Formerly dean of the Yale Law School, he is currently at Yale as the Sterling Professor of International Law. Professor Koh also served as chief legal advisor to the U.S. Department of State and as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.
