When Amb. White was USAID Director in Mali, she created a unique partnership for girls education with the nomadic Tuaregs. With the Tanzania government, she and her team dramatically reduced rates of malaria on the large island of Zanzibar. And yet, giving aid and advising Presidents is far from a guarantee of success. Amb. White will also critically reflect on her time as ambassador to both The Gambia and Haiti.
